Stop This Bullsh*t: Doubting Yourself Ends Today

Table of Contents

I’m going to say it straight: I am fcking over* self-doubt. Yours. Mine. Everyone’s.

We have one life. One shot. And yet so many of us are wasting it second-guessing ourselves, apologising for existing, shrinking to make others comfortable, and letting fear sit in the driver’s seat.

Here’s the truth: self-doubt isn’t protecting you. It’s poisoning you. It’s stopping you from going for that job, speaking up in that meeting, writing that book, starting that business, asking for that raise, chasing that love, or building that legacy. And I am done watching brilliant, talented, incredible humans play small because of the bullsh*t voice in their head.

Doubt Is Not a Badge of Honour

Somewhere along the way, we convinced ourselves that self-doubt makes us humble. That playing small makes us “likable.” That questioning every move makes us “careful.” No. It makes you invisible.

Humility is powerful, yes. But self-sabotage isn’t humility, it’s fear in disguise.

Perfection Is a Trap

Here’s the sneaky truth: perfection is just another way of doubting yourself. You tell yourself you’ll launch when it’s “ready.” Speak up when you’re “sure.” Apply when you’re “qualified.” Spoiler alert: that moment never comes. You’re waiting for a finish line that doesn’t exist.

Great leaders don’t wait for perfection. They act in the mess, they figure it out along the way, and they fail forward.

Confidence Isn’t Magic, It’s Muscle

I hear it all the time: “But Sonia, I’m just not confident.” Well, guess what? Neither was I. Confidence is not some divine gift. It’s a muscle you build by doing the scary thing, again and again, until your brain realises you’re capable.

Courage comes first. Confidence comes later.

Your Doubt Is Costing the World

Let me be blunt: your self-doubt doesn’t just hurt you. It hurts all of us. Every time you sit down when you should stand up, every time you silence your voice, every time you dim your brilliance, you rob the world of your leadership, your ideas, your impact.

We need your voice. Your courage. Your presence. Because if you don’t step up, the sh*tty leaders will, and they already are.

My Challenge to You

Today, I dare you to call out your self-doubt for what it is: bullsh*t.

  • That voice telling you you’re not ready? Liar.
  • That fear that people will judge you? They will anyway.
  • That nagging thought that you’ll fail? You will and then you’ll rise.

Self-doubt is boring. Courage is magnetic. Choose courage.

The Bottom Line

Stop doubting yourself. Stop apologising. Stop waiting for permission.

You are enough. You always have been. You are more powerful than the voice in your head. And if you’re reading this, let this be the moment you decide: no more bullsht*.

Because leaders aren’t born by doubting, they’re born by daring.
